Glen Grierson has direct access to the major Canadian financial institutions involved in commercial real estate financing including life insurance companies, pension funds, chartered banks, credit unions and trust companies. He has secured close contacts with regionally based mortgage investment corporations, private investors and commercial mortgage conduits involved in the mortgage backed securities market.
Glen has worked continuously in the commercial mortgage financing industry for 30 years since receiving his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia specializing in Urban Land Economics and Finance. He began his career as a commercial mortgage broker in Edmonton, Alberta and re-located to Vancouver in 1983 where he co-founded and managed a successful commercial mortgage brokerage firm. In 2002 he formed Grierson Commercial Mortgages Inc. to provide the highest level of real estate financial advisory services to his existing clients and to build upon this established client base.
Merrill Lynch Commercial Mortgage Finance Group, a commercial mortgage conduit, voted Glen as the “Most Professional Mortgage Broker” in 2002 during the company’s first year of operations.
Glen resides in Vancouver, B.C. with his wife, Sylvie, and two children, Lisa and Jonathan. He is an avid downhill skier and mountain biker and spends much of his free time at his vacation home in Whistler, B.C.
Amanda Brooks is the General Manager and Executive Assistant of Grierson Commercial Mortgages Inc. Amanda is responsible for the day-to-day management of Grierson Commercial. She prepares mortgage submissions to lenders and monitors the funding of the loans arranged by the firm to assure that advances occur smoothly and on schedule. She is responsible for loan administration of direct funded loans by Grierson Commercial and its private investor clients.
She has 6 years of office management experience with 3 years as Senior Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper for a Vancouver based engineering consulting firm reporting to the President and assisting 11 project managers. Amanda is currently completing the B.C. mortgage broker’s pre-licensing course.
